Ann Landis

At Mount Lebanon Methodist Church, Ann Landis serves as our Interim Music Director, helping lead worship in a way that feels welcoming, grounded, and Christ-centered. She plans music for worship services, selects hymns and choir anthems, supports special services and events, leads choir practice, and coordinates with musicians to help each service come together smoothly.

Ann’s worship philosophy is simple and sincere: we’re here to worship and praise God—and for her, music has always been the best way to do that. She loves the idea of “singing a joyful noise to the Lord,” and she brings that heart into every service.

When you walk into worship at Mount Lebanon, Ann wants you to feel something right away: welcome, love, and safety. She wants you to experience a church family that genuinely cares for each other, and even more, a church that loves Jesus and honors God together.

Musically, Ann leans more traditional, but she’s open and flexible—she enjoys a blended approach and loves exploring new opportunities for the church. While she doesn’t consider herself an instrumentalist (“a little dangerous with a piano” is how she puts it), she has a lifelong background in choir. She started in youth choir around age 11–12, returned to church at 18, and has been singing in the choir ever since.

Outside of church, Ann’s life has been centered around caring for people. She is a Registered Nurse, attended Lander University, earned a Master’s in Nursing Education, taught at Piedmont Tech, and has served as a school nurse with Greenwood School District 50.

Ann is also passionate about a church that looks beyond itself. She’s homegrown Greenwood, and she came to Mount Lebanon looking for a church grounded in Scripture—and committed to outreach and missions. In her words, it’s not only about taking care of the building; it’s about caring for people outside the walls, too.

If you’re interested in getting involved, Ann would love to hear from you. She’s actively welcoming choir members, musicians of any instrument, and anyone who simply has ideas or a heart to help strengthen worship. Her best invitation is also her simplest: come to choir practice—ALL are welcome.

A few things that make Ann, Ann: her all-time favorite hymn is Amazing Grace (and she also loves In Christ Alone). Her favorite movie is Gone with the Wind, her favorite restaurant is Capri’s Italian, and her favorite place to unwind is Myrtle Beach—though if she could pick anywhere in the world to travel, she’d choose Alaska.

In Ann’s words: “I would like to invite you to Mount Lebanon. We have a wonderful ministry. We enjoy one another and we worship God together.”
